Balintawak and its many branches have grown into a worldwide Martial Arts phenomena. Some of the derivatives after the post-Anciong Bacon era are Teovel Balintawak, Combat Eskrima Maranga(formerly Tres Personas Eskrima de Combate Super Kuwentada) Palakabanate, Balintawak Arnis Tabimina and Villasin Balintawak Eskrima the latter now with its headquarters in Canada run by Dom Lopez.The more active groups operating in Cebu City are Teovel's Balintawak headed by Henry Jayme, Combat Eskrima Maranga, and a closely knit group of some of the original Balintawak fighters organized by Sergio Arcel and Eusebio Monino. The others have evolved into purely barehand fighting like Tat Kon Tou and its advanced form of Gokosha invented by another talented GM Bacon protege the late Jose "Jogo" Millan.
We are profoundly honored by Dom Lopez's carrying Atty. Villasin's name in his organization, however, we are bound by tradition and respect to Nilo Servila the Vice-President of Atty. Villasin and thus it is incumbent upon him to take over the organization after the demise of the latter.
Balintawak International continues to exist and will pursue to propagate and developed the Art of Balintawak Eskrima as originally envisioned by the Grandmaster Atty. Jose Villasin and his great mentor Grandmaster Venancio "Anciong" Bacon.
